Restoration Update #8: Face Lift

Great progress has been made since the last update. The 5 tonne precast brick pier presented a few logistical challenges due to the parking bay closure in front of the building. Both brick facades for the new extension and the old extension are complete, ready for the doors and windows to be installed next week. Once the doors and windows are installed we can expect rapid progress of the interior over the coming weeks. This is a major milestone.

Internally, the South Hall (new extension) ceiling has been plaster-boarded, revealing the step-up ceiling towards Cuddy Lane and the corridor and toilets are taking shape. The North Hall (old extension) has been framed and plaster-boarded, ready for the door and large glazed screen to be installed overlooking the new garden area.
